Today, the Conservancy joined forces with a team of three young architecture professionals in northwest Arkansas to apply for funding to conduct a laser scan of the nearly 7,500 square foot Faubus House in Huntsville, Arkansas. Dan Richards, an architect and laser scanning professional in Rogers, and Kenneth and Chloe Hiley, owners of the firm Catalpa Architects PLLC in Fayetteville submitted the application to Arkansas Heritage today, with the stated goal of having the house scanned in Fall 2024 and the scan posted online in Spring 2025.

If awarded the grant, we intend to host public talks at area libraries to both show attendees through the digital model and further explain the laser scanning process.

We will keep the community posted on the developments!
